Current service disclosure
Privacy notice
Last updated: September 19, 2026
Cameron Low, an individual in Ontario, Canada, operates the hosted True Canadian Maps preview. True Canadian Maps and Aello Software are brand names, not separate incorporated operators. This notice describes the current founding preview. It will be updated when the service, providers or data practices change.
Where the managed service runs
The managed founding preview currently operates on Hostinger infrastructure in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. This includes the application, account and project database, map processing and map delivery used by the managed service. A Canadian managed region is not currently available.
The Linux x64 self-hosted preview runs on infrastructure chosen and managed by its operator. Contact that operator for the privacy practices of their installation.
Information we process
We process information needed to provide, secure and support the service, which may include:
- account email and name, password authentication records, session tokens, IP/browser information, and verification or recovery records;
- organization, project, style, marker and map content submitted to the service;
- technical request, security and operational logs; and
- messages and contact details you send when requesting support or joining the founding program.
Published maps and sessions
Publishing makes map styles, locations and associated assets publicly accessible, including past published releases. Browser-origin restrictions do not make these files confidential. Do not publish sensitive personal information or content you cannot lawfully share. Copies already downloaded by others cannot be recalled.
Studio uses necessary authentication cookies with the tcm prefix to keep you signed in. Sessions expire after 14 days and may renew during use. Password recovery revokes existing sessions; invitation links expire after seven days. Account and unpublished project access requires authentication. Public map requests may generate technical logs on the delivery service.
Marketing website
The public marketing website does not intentionally use third-party analytics or advertising pixels. Normal web-server logs may record technical information such as an IP address, requested URL, browser details and request time for security and operational purposes.
Foreign jurisdiction
Information processed by the managed service in the United States is subject to applicable U.S. law and may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement or national-security authorities through lawful processes in that jurisdiction.
Service providers
Hostinger provides the infrastructure for the current managed preview. Resend delivers account emails, such as password resets, using its U.S. sending region. It processes recipient email addresses, names and message contents, including temporary account links. Privacy and legal inquiries to hello@cameronlow.com are forwarded through Cloudflare to Google’s email service. Existing Aello pilot and security channels use Google Workspace. An inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Retention and your choices
Account and project records remain while needed to provide the preview. Project deletion removes database project records; it does not by itself erase earlier public map releases or every uploaded artifact. Account closure and removal of retained public releases currently require an operator request. Export important map work before requesting closure. Cameron must check project access, shared organization records, retained artifacts and backup copies before confirming what was removed. No instant or automatic deletion of every copy is promised. Normal origin web logs rotate daily with 14 rotations retained; necessary incident and legal records may be kept longer. Backup and provider records have separate retention limits. Contact records are reviewed when follow-up and necessary recordkeeping are complete.
Access, correction and contact
Send questions and requests for access, correction, deletion or applicable consent withdrawal to hello@cameronlow.com. Ownership may need to be verified and any legal or security retention explained. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
